How is it a cash grab if it's an update?

For example Baldurs Gate, Skyrim. they called them EE's but were actually updates, mostly bug fixes and grahmmher korrektions. If there was content added, it wasnt significant to make any difference in a game, but was used as a selling point. Ofcourse, we all know nothing is ever free, so I was wonderin' if this update would be disguised as an EE to pay for it.

Skyrim special edition was free to all owners of skyrim, so it cost me nothing.

And what purchase are you talking about? They specifically write an update, not a expansion, DLC, re-release, or anything of the like.

Also, in this case, VVVVVV is open source and most of the things in this update are fixes from the community. Or rather, its partially open source. Some things like graphics, music etc. are proprietary so they cannot be released. Though for all intents ant purposes you can build it yourself and play, there are alternative assets available to do that instead of using the proprietary assets.

Looks like a normal patch to me.

And the EE's had updated graphics and some UI stuff, so some work had gone into them.

Yes I know, I used it just for the EE thing.

Thanks, I just might have to take this out for a spin, after the patch.

I thought the premise that made it unique was gravity switching games, I don't know why you bring anything else into it. I mean yeah I had an NES as well.
