RGB Fusion 2.0

Hello,

RGB Fusion 2.0 (Gigabyte) did install all kind of software. What is the purpose of this? I thought it was only for RGB editing.

Another question: is it possible that this install file did somehow download any VBIOS files for my GPU (nvidia)? I found VBIOS files in the TEMP folder (under appdata).

Another question 2: why does this program (RGB Fusion) also installs a VBIOS update tool for AMD?

Hello! RGB fusion is a trash RGB application of Gigabyte. It might be just checking the vbios and not actually update it.

Are you sure? I don't really think this "RGB"program is supossed to do that.

I also updated my VBIOS today, does this VBIOS updatefile saves itself to the temp folder after use?

I've checked my files and I don't see it having any vbios. It might be you are using a gigabyte card as well.

True, but like I said, maybe it's just the VBIOS updater of Gigabyte which I used earlier that day and after use it saves the updater to the temp folder.

I run it standalone for when it resets my colours post BIOS updates. It doesn’t need GBs Control Centre or whatever they call it. I just have to use it once post BIOS update.

FYI Asus Armoury Crate does the same. Seems to be the trend now to offer drivers and BIOS through them (RGB Software that is).

I do not run Asus cards, but I would assume it may look for a VBIOS had I installed one.

Also, being told by a reviewer friend, it is quite possible that Fusion has other apps tied in with the install, but you can pick which of them to install. Maybe you clicked passed it?

You don't have to do anything with RGB fusion other than setting your led colors, thats all I use mine with a Gaming 4G RX 570.
Set the color then close down the entire software and only start up when I feel like changing color again.

Because GIGABYTE makes AMD GPUs in addition to Nvidia.

I know right.
If I want to change my entire setups's single color to another then I have to use Aura for my mobo+front case 'In Win Logo' leds cause they apparently sync.
Then Fusion just to change my card's giga logo color and also my mouse's logitech software and also my keyboard's separate software. 'well ok keyboard can be manually done but its easier in software'

And if that wasn't enough the x3 led fans I have in my case is older design and can't sync with anything so I have to manually press a button on its controller and look for my desired color.

So yea I aint changing color often, like once a month. 'currently set to all white which is more like light blue ish'

For whatever reason when I open RGB fusion it completely stops my HDDS and when I close it down they have to spin up.

I had problems with both. Their B550 Aorus Pro board died on me (and I'm not the only one), replacement was DOA. And the latest version of their RGB Fusion software gave me a BSOD on bootup requiring me to go into safe mode to remove it.

Had no such problems with ASUS' software, and certainly not with their ROG Strix B550-F board, which was cheaper but considerably better than the B550 Aorus Pro. I set a single, static red color for all my components, and then I proceeded to disable every Armoury Crate related service. Colors still work on bootup, nothing runs in the background. When I want to change colors, I temporarily re-enable it.
