Monitor gone bye-bye

Hello guy's,

I had this 4:3 monitor I bought off ebay for say... 40 I think but now it display flicking or color went orange type and the it went dark and I heard a hiss sound so yeah ill end up getting another

Make and model? Audible hisses and pops make it sound like capacitors and those can be replaced.

DELL 4:3 I unplugged and disconnected the speaker I bought for that model but still the screen goes orange then dark. Say a bad circuit or something

Looks like an oldie. It's probably best to replace at this point.

Uhh I have a friend who buys stuff for me until I get my job back. He's doing it bc of my car accident 4 years ago and coma for 3 months. That can take a toll on one especially me. All is good

That's definitely a goner and I wouldn't waste time and money repairing it. New monitors aren't very expensive now and something decent used should be very affordable. I recommend buying new though, wherever you can.

Sound like a failed capacitor, if so the fix is cheap.
