Just one question as I'm buying a laptop this month
Does AMD ryzen 7 4700u have ftpm ?
As I don't know much about PCs
And the last time I used one was about 6 years ago

Good question. It should, but if it doesn't, buy it anyway. There WILL be workarounds.

And Welcome to TPU!!

Yes according to AMD all Ryzen CPU's have the built in fTPM what you want to know though is does your laptop have it enabled and if not can you enable it in the UEFI yourself

Fair enough. I've been looking for a link to a statement or article that confirms that even the APU's will have it.

EDIT. Found one;
Seems legit.

expand...
This puts me at ease
As I want to upgrade
Because I have no attachment to older windows versions (as I don't even know the version of the windows of my wrecked laptop )
So I want something that would last
That's all

If you're not comfortable going into UEFI then make the shop do it before you leave with the Laptop

If you already have it, get a blank drive and test it, go on youtube and find vids about using lose11 on "old hardware"

The problem is that I don't have it yet
I'm going to buy it this month
And due to many reasons such as lack of good devices and those with Intel are quite expensive in my country
I'm asking so that I don't get myself into a pit
