MSI RX 580 either bad bios or I got suckered

I bought a second hand MSI RX 580 8gb the other day and within minutes of purchasing the seller went totally dark...deleted profile and the works. It was an Oh poop moment. I went home and plugged it in to see what I was working with. Figuring I was dealing with trouble, I plugged it in as a secondary card. GPU-Z really didn't see anything; just a basic adapter. Off to a great start. I disassembled the card, put on all new pads and paste and still nothing. At this point, I figure it is a bad bios or a total scam job. I plugged it into my HiveOS machine and started flashing the BIOS that I thought would work...nothing. Try and try again. HiveOS can see the card, but never can see the memory. Hopefully, someone here can help me determine the thing can either be flashed and salvaged or I got suckered. Thanks-

looks like a damaged card. traces look exposed in the upper corner.

Id use a conductor pen and laquer the traces, i will try the bios approach, if you got it from ebay you have guarantee even if the asshole goes silent.

How many ram chips are on the card?

It wasn't ebay...it was a local deal.

Unless my eyes deceive me, card has eight chips.

I took a few more pics of the card without the fan. I also tried to get in close on the traces. They only look exposed to me, but I'm not sure entirely; my eyes don't work as well as the used to up close.

In the meantime, I ordered a conductive pen to try and goop up the board a bit more.

try cleaning it too, conductive or capacitive thermal paste in the wrong spot could cause issues and be a super easy fix

The scam artist was also a heavier smoker...The first thing I did was to disassemble the thing and clean it thoroughly to just get rid of the stench. After all that cleaning, I want to get it running...almost as clean as new! lol

Not sure if this is a BIOS issue. Those traces look like a problem.

Just some kind words of advice for the future and not just for you but for all PC ppl too and used tech buyers, Do not buy Video cards or any tech where the seal has been broken meaning the manufacturer anti tamper seal that says hey the owner opened the card always check that over before purchase and that usually says hey the owner could have bleeped the card good, I have no clue if you bought it like that i did see the picture where it was broken no clue if you had done that or the person you bought it from did but I am going to go with the condition of the board near the memory chips that the owner scrubbed the shit out of the card with the wrong tool.
