Tools for diagnosing a suspected bad SSD

I have an SSD in an old HP Z400 workstation, it's an Adata 480GB SATA SSD, having replaced the motherboard recently I wiped the drive and reinstalled Windows 10 tonight on the SSD, after the setup and whilst downloading AMD drivers the system "black screened" so I had to hard reset it, when trying to startup again I get an error before it gets into Windows that says "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" so I have taken the SSD out, and the system loads up using a 500GB HDD which isn't ideal but will do for now, I want to plug the SSD into my main computer and scan it, as when I formatted it last night, Crystal Diskinfo and SSDlife didn't show any SMART issues and stated the SSD had 100% life remaining.

So the question is, what tools are there to do a full disk scan to search for bad blocks/determine if the drive is in fact dead

Badblocks or similar alternative would probably do the trick.

Though that would mean writing data to the whole disk and verifying it, which of course introduce wear.
never used it on a SSD though, only used it on mechanical ones when I buy one to verify functionality

That looks to be for Linux, I'm running Windows.

live boot USB/CD or just use Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
I have yet to find something similar to Windows so.

I'm running chkdisk in CMD right now, it's gone from 30mins to 4 hours, I'm thinking that has told me all I need to know about the drive is there anyway to shortstroke a SSD? one thing to note the SMART data say's 8000GB have been written to the SSD but the NAND also has 8000GB written to it, which is a much higher % than my other SSD, maybe there is an issue/bad sectors/blocks within the 3dnand?

HWinfo reads the same SMART data as Crystal diskinfo and ssdlife, there are no scanning options I'm aware of, and DuckDuckGo is a better friend..

Used it, reading the same SMART data, the short test took about 15 mins and the long test I cancelled after about 20 mins as it was only 4% done, I am on to amazon now and they are sending a replacement after a little bit of arguing as he kept trying to get me to contact adata even though they have to honor the warranty, should be receiving a new one in the post

For actual checking you can not beat badblocks
for "casual" check or long term monitor, I would recommend HDD Sentinel,
I using these two programs to keep an eye on the drives I use
