Gigabyte 3060ti Eagle OC Low Max fan speed

Hi All,

I recently purchased this card and the card is kinda running hot, 77 c at full load with undervolting I am at 74 c with 1905mhz, I am still researching to see if any improvement can be done and I found a video which could help. basically the max fan speed on these cards are very lower when compared to FE cards, mine maxes at 2085 RPM at 100%. is this correct RPM for this card ?, I have checked for any new vbios, nothing is available

so in the video I found, this guy flashed a palit 3060 ti dual oc vbios and now his speeds are around 2500 RPM at 75% itself and the temps are very good now. Also I have checked many other videos where the fan rpm of 3060ti FE, zotac, palit, gainward (similar dual fan variants) all reaches around 2800 at 100%

I just want to discuss here to understand if its a gigabyte bios issue or gigabyte specifically reduced the speeds because this cards fans cant handle that speed , I feel if the fans run faster it can easily help with the temp problems and I don't mind the fans running loud

I can try to flash the palit vbios but it only has 1 hdmi vs 2 hdmi in gigabyte eagle and also it will be safer if i can use the same card vbios, Can anyone help with modding the vbios(attached here) to allow more fan speed

Do NOT flash the palit bios on your card.

There might be someone here who can edit your bios for you.

Hello, just use MSI Afterburner and set a custom Fan Curve to suit your needs. Gigabyte has set the BIOS Profile to be more quiet i think.

I have set the custom fan curve already, issue is not that , my 100% fan speed is low (2080 rpm) whereas all other similar spec cards have the max fan rpm as 2800 (I don't know if gigabyte had a typo when setting the max value to 2080 instead of 2800)

Usually the manufacture knows the parts they use on your cards, but it could be that the fans was swapped out later en manufacture and Gigabyte didn't bother to change the speed.

But as @Gruffalo.Soldier says get something to mod a bios to you or save your original bios and get something to check this if there is any that should hold the fans back.

The temps that you mentioned are nowhere near critical, so I don't think you have to worry that much. Even if you can ramp the fan speed up, are you able to tolerate the increase in noise level?

Yes i dont mind the increase in noise level at all, i have been using a gaming laptop and gotten used to loud noise so dont mind at all the additional noise

I flashed this card and got great results with the gigabyte pro oc 3060ti vbios from techpowerup. Temps never go over 69c full load and it's hitting 220w now.

77°C is great at full load.

I'd leave it alone.
