Hardware error

I am slow, but it has finally dawned on me that the Nvidia hardware error Windows reports on my machine only happens when I am updating the driver (the update itself, not after).

Anyone else seen this?

Your boldness is welcome; no other problems, the machine is rock stable.

I suspect it is when the screen blanks out as the drivers are changed that the OS sees as a problem.

Are you doing a factory reset and install, or just an update?

I remember having some issues in the past with the updates. So any time I update my Nvidia drivers, I always do the factory reset. You have to go to "custom installation" to check the factory reset box.

I am glad the reset first worked. Something good to remember - though I personally have not seen the problem.

However, next, I wonder if booting into safe mode first might work too?
