It erases the history. They're just able to recreate the data on the hard drive thru multiple layers of over-writes. The only way to truly wipe all data from a magnetic storage medium, is to burn it.Oh, I understand quite well, that the goverment is not going to give you a way to completly remove History files from your hard drive. Just because they use it doesn't mean it's going to erase everything they need, why do you think they still confiscate computers??
