BF 2042 Config Utility

New! BF 2042 Config Utility v1.0

I'm still adding settings daily. I was able to gain around 10 fps just setting the Enable DirectX 12 and ShadowQuality to low. Make sure to click backup! If you have any issues just post them. I can't say I'll fix a lot today or tomorrow, but Monday I will work on updates and any bug fixes. So, far with a mix of mid to low settings I have gained around 20 fps. I can't guarantee you'll get any improvement, but hopefully you will.

EDIT - Also on the Advanced tab I have settings for VR, but they just seem to be place holders, because setting them does nothing. They have been in the settings file since bf4.

Chrome says it´s a false positive.
Cant lunch the Programm nothing happens. Lunching as Admin does the same.
Net Framework 4 installed too.

Where are you launching it from?

Tried my desktop, C: drive, where the config files are located for BF2042, BF2042 install folder...

You may need to whitelist it in your antivirus.

Well i found out what, my firewall blocks lunching your Programm are you sending home something when the Programm starts?

yeah it just checks the program version and if there is a new version. You can turn it off in the program at the bottom. Check the screen shot bottom left.

If you Programm can not check it dose not lunch. Wouldn't there an error massage better then it crashing or not lunching at all?

Is the Programm suppose to read out the settings that are applied right now by the game, everything is blank when i lunch it.

If it's blank then it did not find your settings file. You should have seen a dialog box that asked you to find your settings file. Default settings is "Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings\".

I'll add it in my next update. You should have received a message that says this on launch if it can't find your config file. "Error Config file not loading correctly. If you made a backup click reset button at the buttom."

No it should check every time it loads. I wonder if you are having other issues. Try unchecking Auto Check for Updates at the bottom then close. Once closed then try opening it again. Also, you may want to try and create a folder to test like c:\test and launch it from there. I'll create an installer for it Monday. Windows has a lot of security to stop programs from launching directly on the desktop. If you want to launch it from the desktop try creating a folder then added it to your virus protection.

EDIT: I knew I should have done this Monday.. lol I may delete this post till Monday until I have more time to deal with issues. I don't know if it's working for anyone at this point. lol
