That's called a thermal probe/sensor. Did a quick google search with "pc thermal probe" and I got a lot of results of what you need. That's particularly helpful for watercooling and checking liquid temps but for normal air cooling the component sensors would be more than enough.Does anyone know where I can get one of these from with the relevant connector as outlined in this page from my motherboard manual?
I looked on amazon, ebay & staticIce but no luck! It's not included in the package contents as listed in the manual.
Thanks.

Thanks, want to use it to check RAM temps.i don't know if its exactly the same as on asus but i would not bother.
on today's motherboards normally have so much sensors that there really is no need for more-can i ask ya where ya would put them?
and they are not very accurate too. it´s more of a gimmick.
but they are included with nearly all high priced and to overclockers targeted mainboards like asus apex or even my old x99 sabertooth has them.
i would give ya mine but too far away so maybe you know someone with an older asus oc board in your region
It's a pity that the component sensors do not cover RAM temps. That's called a thermal probe/sensor. Did a quick google search with "pc thermal probe" and I got a lot of results of what you need. My older RAM kit (G.Skill Value DDR4-2400 4x4) had thermal sensors. I can't remember having thermal sensors on any other RAM I've ever had. Thanks, want to use it to check RAM temps.

Curios, how can the mobo temp sensor be on the RAM stick? getting the temp from the actual source would be the best way to go imo.I'm actually using my MB temp sensor for my ram, which is 35c with PC idle.

PM me if you find it.Same on my Thermaltake Ram, has built in thermal sensors.
edit: I'm sure I have a thermal sensor somewhere that I never used, if I could find it i'd mail it to you, but so far no luck.
