I9 12900k thermal issues

Hi all,
Im running into some thermal issues with the new i9. Core temps at full load are consistently at 100C R23 cinebench score seem pretty low in multicore, around 19,000
Setup is msi z690 edge ddr4
32gb corsaire vengeance pro 3600
750w psu
Lian li galahad 360 aio. In bequiet 802 case.

my ddr4 is also stuck at 2133mhz. If i manually set it to 3,600 it seems to make performance worse. At least on cinebench.

any insight would be greatly appreciated

Make sure u mount the block correctly.

First things I would do are re-paste and remount the cooler.
If nothing changes, the AIO might be defective.

Although I've never read anything about it really other than the titles, mounting pressure seems to be a big problem with adapting coolers for the new intel socket I'd look into it maybe a few washers and a repaste is what you need.

Check the power limit settings in BIOS, some Z690 boards are known to default to giving the CPU way too much power, thus, temps sky rocket. For your RAM, is it 2x16GB sticks, or 4x8GB, if 4x8GB, that can be part of the problem with it running 3600MHz, unless you're not telling the board to use XMP, then manually setting the speed to 3600MHz, but not adjusting any volts or timings could be your issue there.

Your cooler needs a bracket for lga 1700, if you are not using it, you need it.

I have the new version of the galahad with uni fans, it comes with the lga1700 bracket.
The pump seems to work, when pc is idle, cpu temps are around 39-45C, as soon as i disconnect power to the pump, temps shoot up. But at the same time i can barely hear the pump, i really to put my ear close to it to hear anything. Radiator fans are rotating at 1800rpm.
I took the aio block off, this is what pasts spread looks like on cpu and block.
I have the pump connected directly to the psu through sata connector

Yes indeed, that's what leads to arguments about certain TIMs being prone to "bleed out" scenario.

Damn, I thought of that at first, but most of AIOs come with pre-applied TP and like protective hard cover instead of film. So I thought it might not be the culprit this time lol.
