After disabling fTPM the wdf01000 is no longer the highest latency driver. Yay!

If you're on windows 11 and it fails to boot after disabling fTPM, you can work around that with some extra steps (turning it back on, will let windows boot normally)

Im on win11 right now, and it booted perfectly even after disabling fTPM. Big thanks for providing me the information really solved my issue big time.

Rubbish. Don't bitlock your drive and don't enable secure boot stuff... I dual boot Linux so it is disabled for me anyways.

I don't understand the hassle mudding win11 installs etc for machines that has TPM. Okay it is a valid solution for legacy devices. Enable fTPM only during OS install, then disable it it and everything is fine. It is the easiest way.

This is an example of what was happening for me.

It's not worth avoiding AMD over at all, this is only an issue due to windows 11 requiring fTPM to be enabled (which many of us ignored and disabled)

I'm not disabling fTPM. Here's hoping AGESA 1.2.0.7 or above fixes it.

On certain levels it is the usual Microsoft fault. They don't have much AMD machines and actually selfdom test the device on bare metal these days.

I haven't seen any tickets in feedback hub about it, just because tech oriented people just disable that feature even on test builds. So... obviously.

You do not enable features you actually do not use and need. Less ir more. It has been always like that.

I guess you are too impulsive now thinking that is is AMD's problem only. It should have been reported during dev and canaries, but it went through... as some smartarses think that it is better to post YouTube videos and whine instead filing up a proper ticket with log dump for Microsoft devs, then they would start talking with AMD directly and decide where the fix should be implemented.

These issues only started propping up recently, not when I installed Windows 11, and now I can't be arsed to disable it and risk some garbage happening when an alleged ""fix"" for these issues will be released.

You're being really contradictory and i don't think you're aware of it.
It's AMD being garbage, it's a non issue, everythings fine except that AMD is bad - and its an easy fix except the fix will be garbage and break things based on anti-AMD sentiment.

AMD had to release a BIOS update with a new AGESA defaults fTPM and secureboot to enabled. THAT is what triggered the issue - whether you noticed it immediately or not. Some people get one stutter a day, others every few minutes - depending on what software they have running.

I have secureboot removed requirements from my 11 installer, but leave fTPM enabled in my BIOS and I've had zero issues with 10 and 11 on my three ryzen systems.

The fix is an update to the BIOS/AGESA code that controls fTPM. It's not software on that side so fantasies about how it's going to break everything are a bit much - it's a firwmare update. So scary.

Disable fTPM, or wait patiently. Short term and long term solution is publicly known so don't be an anti AMD troll in the meantime.
