hello everyone.

I bought a blade 15 advanced (2020)

unsatisfied with the gpu's wattage, I flashed the vbios and of course bricked the gpu....

I'm currently working on modding a ch341a to unbrick the gpu by physically flashing it directly from the mobo

but I obviously need to understand where the gpus video bios chip is located

can anyone help me? thanks in advance for the help

What is the GPU? People aren't going to be able to help without knowing that.

EDIT Okay, it's a laptop. Thought you had a pre-built.

If the GPU is integrated in the main board, it's VBIOS will be integrated in the laptop's main BIOS....

Sorry bud, I've looked and can't find any info for you. And I'm not going to guess either, lol. Good luck!

okay...interesting

then, may i ask, how do i locate the correct BIOS chip?

If that is the case, it won't work.
Then only a BIOS from the manufacturer's website will work.

Find the 1 you need above, otherwise contact razer.

I'm in no way responsible if you brick your card, so tread lightly.

one way to attempt a recovery is to first make sure you have a copy of the bios you flashed onto the laptop. then get a hex editor like HxD and use the ch341a to get a copy of the contents on each chip. open the dumps using HxD and see witch one contains the bios image you flashed. if chip only contains the image you flashed than go ahead and erase/flash/verify the proper image and you should be good to go.

Benchmark Scores Nyooom.
If you know the size of the VBIOS and mainboards BIOS ROM's, you can match that to the chips after googling them - might gives clues as to what goes where.

4MB VBIOS wont be wasted on a 16MB chip, and an 8MB wont fit on a 4MB chip, blah blah
