Hi, I have one 2080Ti asus dual which has memory problem on E1 bank, which I replaced with new one but still has all bits error on that bank. Can somebody change the bios to work with 10gb instead of 11gb without that bank?
Any help

Probably time for a new GPU....

Agreed, best replaced. The way the hardware is made, it may not even be possible to mask off one memory chip. That kind of technical information isn't released publicly, unfortunately. It would be nerd heaven lol.

How did you know which chip to replace (assuming that is what you meant)? If you still have clear memory errors you still have faulty memory.

The card is working but with artifacts. It will be nice if bios can be modded because only I can do now is to put bank over and check memory data(for posibly shorts or if need reball gpu) but Im pretty sure that is memory controller is bad because of overclock or something. But I have only one bank bad..

I replaced the "bad chip" But still has the same issue. I try another chip to make sure that is chip is working, and the same issue.. On the same memory, and still artifacts..

Mats shows me errors on that chip. I run it 3 times and the errors was on the same chip. I look the order and find that chip. . . I can remove one chip randomly to confirm the order but i think this is not a good idea

I can understand your desire for this, but the situation remains as before, unfortunately. Hope you get somewhere with it, but I wouldn't be too hopeful.

Nope, no bios can be modded on the RTX 2000/3000, GTX 1600 series or crossflashed.

The bios can't be modded due to driver signing, you can thank coin miners and scalpers for this.

Replace the gpu is the option, there are AMD cards as well, so don't limit yourself.

You have to consider is the software reporting fault correct. Even my hardware reporting of memory faults is not always correct. If you replaced the chip which you think is faulty, then I can only think of a few things.

1. You over-heated the new chip & damaged it while installing it.

2. One or two solder balls are not making contact, ie not soldered in correctly.

3. The fault could be at the other end ie ..at main GPU chip end may have cracked/solder joint on memory trace link..

I really wish these kinds of repairs were possible, as it would be such a great way of reducing e-waste. Sad stuff.
