Yeah, I saw some similarities to my Pop Air XL but I didn't think it was a standard Pop Air.

Used a Corsair 4000D Airflow before but this is way quieter. I'll put my 2nd rig to that Corsair after this hangover is gone (I have to get air out of water loop etc., it has CPU & GPU on water)

Great case- I had one, left with a build I sold to my cousin (had a Define C also) Still have a Meshify C along with a Define Nano, a Define R4, and a Define XL rev2

Fractal and Phanteks are my favorite case brands atm, with an honorable mention to BeQuiet- have a Pure Base 500 that is really well built

I had a Phanteks P400S before, nothing to complain about that (well, maybe some minus points because of its proprietary RGB connector..) :)

Mind you the cable management and dust, this is a testing phase. Updates later. And btw, the ASRock support bracket is awesome.

And yeah, I need that USB3.0 card + bracket as the board doesn't have enough ports.
No shame in using USB PCI Bracket, I use them myself, the often the motherboard USB headers are the most reliable ports.

Little 6700 had to get some support. Also finally got an ARGB cable extension to connect the fan ARGB to the motherboard ARGB connector.
Also got a usb-2 to usb-3 adapter to use the usb-c port on the case. Ugh, forgot this mobo didn't have an USB-C connector either.

Since I've neglected my main PC for some time, decided to make a major cleanup and a few extras.
First, disbanded these silly RGB fans:

IMG_20230323_164839.jpg
They came with a case, and are connected with a shitty proprietary connector. Wanted to disband the controller as well, but decided to leave it be, as it has PWM control for up to four 3-pin fans.
Switched the LED button for a reset, and connected a smaller reset button to a clear CMOS header. Life saver for a RAM tuning on a MSI boards.
Needed to get my front case panel able to fit three 140mm fans:

IMG_20230323_150451.jpg

It's factory limited to 2x140mm or 3x120mm, but with most of the metal chunks blocking the 140mm fan airflow (compromise I'm not willing to make). Still decided to leave minimum connection bridges for a stronger structural support. Now it fits 3x140mm fans with just a little airflow obstruction. It could also fit 420mm radiator, but I'm not doing it in this case anyway.
Those two are Akasa 140mm, temporary solution until a batch of P14s arrive.

Also widened the front mesh usable surface by almost 30%, with the means of cutting the plastic shell, without compromising the structural integrity (needs to be pulled hard when unmounting):

IMG_20230323_150547.jpg

Tried this garbage fan to replace one of the RGB ones at the rear exhaust position:

IMG_20230323_165012.jpg

It was a fan that came with CM Q500L, I guess the rifle bearing is a good analogy, because it sounds like a machine gun. Luckily I have many questionable quality fans at my disposal, so I've tried this one:
IMG_20230323_165027.jpg

And fell in love with it, so I've decided to sleeve the wires, and change the white header for a black one:

IMG_20230323_172131.jpg

But it's still going to be replaced by a P12.

Completely rewired the back of the case:

IMG_20230323_153559.jpg

Installed another P300 3TB drive because it sits unused in another PC, as I've finally figured how to integrate the factory HDD cage without the shitty plastic drawers and make the drives silent. These Toshiba drives are LOUD. Up until now it was one drive just lying on a foam freely, the cage was absent. Forgot to take a photo of the solution, but it's a simple foam tape (for doors and windows) attached to a drive's sides and used as a rail to slide them in, not touching the metal directly, and the friction holds it in place nicely.

Washed the CPU tower heatsink, cleaned all the fans thoroughly, took apart the GPU, repasted. Haven't done the super glue trick for the whine, because I don't have the thermal pads to replace them ATM (coming along with a P14, P12 and MX-6 order directly from the Arctic), and before applying the glue I need to completely clean the card first. The Factory pads are falling apart, the GPU haven't been opened, the paste was almost dry, and consider it's saved from the depths of the mines of Moria...

I can see a little sag on end of your gpu, you might want to do what I did and get a wooden pencil, and measure it/saw it so that it holds it up even. Perhaps you can paint it red, or use a red colored pencil, and blend it in behind the power cables.

I can see a little sag on end of your gpu, you might want to do what I did and get a wooden pencil, and measure it/saw it so that it holds it up even. Perhaps you can paint it red, or use a red colored pencil, and blend it in behind the power cables.
Nah, I may just buy a "real" GPU support thing. I don't want any ghetto mods here

hey I like my pencil! its symbolic, because writing holds up civilization from collapsing
Hmm... if you want a symbolic pencil being used as a support, I should use that first to unlock my Athlon 1GHz's multiplier lock.. :D

I'm just glad new GPUs come with antisag thingies now, i had to ditch my old support bracket since the new gpu's too thick/takes too many slots for it to fit underneath o_O

I think it's about time for a completely new pcie expansion cards standard. The one that's still in use for decades already is designed with a single slot cards in mind, and no significant heat output. And nowadays we have 4+ slot, 400W+ monsters. And all the heat is still forced towards the CPU?
