First of all i appreciate any feedback thats regarded to my question. :)
This is my current "AGP" yes AGP setup atm

p4 3.0ghz, win xp pro
intel d865gfl series mobo
1.5 pc3200 kingston ddr ram
90g maxtor hd
visiontek hd 2600xt 512mb agp
450 PS

I use this setup to play Hellgate: London only at the moment. --- DX9 ---
Anyways tigerdirect has a decent sale and i was wondering if getting:

EVGA GeForce 8600 GT / 256MB GDDR3 / SLI Ready / PCI Express / DL Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card $101.99 canadian

AND A

XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Motherboard CPU Bundle - Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 Processor 2.20GHz OEM $249.99 canadian ( note the mobo and cpu come bundled, is the only reason im considering it )

along with the same 90gig HD i have, RAM(1.5) , xp pro and 450 ps.

Would this new build outperform my current one by a whole lot? Strictly gaming ofcourse.
Besides the fact that it is better in the long run because of SLI and PCI Express.

i have about $450 to blow if i return the current 2600 agp card, im just looking for some
aknowledgment before i cant return the card anymore.

Thank you for your time and sorry for such a specific post

YES, a big performance boost.

The 680i chipset is a nice choice, but difficult to overclock. It has "issues".
Make sure you check the RAM Compatability list on that mobo, as the 680i is picky.
