Noctua Introduces NF-P12 High-impedance Fan

Only 14 months after the release of the NF-S12 series, which has received more than 100 awards and recommendations from leading international websites and magazines, Noctua expands its line-up of 120mm fans with the NF-P12 high-impedance fan. The NF-P12 has been specifically developed for high-impedance applications such as CPU coolers, water-cooling radiators or cases with tight fan grills and features psychoacoustic optimizations that make it less annoying to the human ear. Like the NF-S12, the NF-P12 is equipped with Noctua's tried and tested SSO-Bearing that achieves no less than 1.68mm H²O and 92.3m³/h at 1300rpm. The NF-P12 has an MTBF of over 150.000 hours and comes with 6 years manufacturer's warranty. Using the supplied Low-Noise and Ultra-Low-Noise adaptors, the fan's speed can be reduced to 1100 resp. 900 rpm. The NF-P12 is available now with a recommended price of EUR 19.90 / USD 24.90.

I'm currently using the NF-S12 1200 and it's one hell of a fan. Very well made and quiet, and the colors are actually awesome.

Cool, this has a little more airflow than the s12 1200rpm. the s12 has 47.67cfm (81 m³/h), this one has 54.32cfm with a stronger force for high impedance applications.

I have an s12 1200rpm as the only intake fan on my new rig.. more exhaust than intake on thia rig, but I want to keep the noise leves low so I didnt bother putting in a higher cfm fan as intake for a little more cfm. I think air can pass trough the fan a little easier than most fans since it has more of a gap due to the fan blade design.

I agree. My NU-9F cooler (92MM version) keeps my Quad under 60C @ 3GHz @ 1.3V and my Quad is a B3 too. I don't doubt there are better coolers, but they still are right up there in my book.

Just what I have been looking for to replace the 3 120mm stock ones on the rad in my Kandalf. Not a bad case but they REALLY cheaped out on the fans, all 2 wire jobs so no speed control. loudest case I have ever owned....

Just one question, are these LED equipped or available in LED models? I use Antec Tri Cools with Blue leds and these things are uber quiet, plus they got lighting. Id happily switch to these right here, but Id miss my LED lighting

This fan has been ready over 6months, but they waited to release it until they had the next CPU cooler ready. So it might mean that it's coming out real soon. This fan will be shipped with it. (read sometime in one noctua forum, can't remember where anymore)

I've been drooling over Noctua case fans for quite some time, but would need 3x80mm fans and they don't have a 92mm for my output, so it would get costly and incompleate :/ 2 intake fans would still be great as normal fans can't take the dust and strain too long. With this warranty, it wouldn't matter if they start making noise
