Looks like this game is a flop, the disappointment of the year. First initial reviews seemed promising, but now...all the reviews say this game is mediocre.

Its far from a flop. This game is great. However, you can take more than one blow by a sword. :(

This is def in my top 5.

The game would be practically impossible if you couldnt at least take a few blows from a sword ;)

Well I just watch a live feed of some dude playing this game from more or less start to finish. This game is OFF my list. The story was a mess. The sci-fi made no sense, and ended with no ending! The AI is utter crap. And they are times where the AI was way over powering. My first game for ps3 is defiantly not this :(, UT3 FTW!.

I'm still debating whether to get this game or Call of Duty 4...for Xbox 360 btw. I heard this game is good, but no online :( I thrive on XBox Live...

stick with CoD4...AC IS a disappointment. I will recommend renting first. I think the game is only good for a couple of days.

Alright then...thanks. I've heard mixed stuff with Assassin's Creed but always great stuff about Call of Duty 4...I'll pick CoD4 tomorrow then (for 360)..

Aye, over on another forum, lots of UK mates saying it's very repetitive. They go on to say it's pretty slick for about the first hour, then you're kinda like 'blah...'

pure consintrated disappoint.

Damn, everything I hear about Assassin's Creed is either great or horrible, nothing in the middle. Some say it's great, and some say it's a major disappointment...

Taken with a grain of salt.

Just think how many nubs would say SWAT 4 is a terrible game, but despite whether you're any good at it or not, it's a brilliant game.

You just have to get your hands on something to really know, ya know?

Problem is, at the price tag software still carries, it's not all that simple.

AC was over hyped, but really didnt deliver the game that it was hyped about. The AI is a bit dumb, and the story is a mess. But over all every thing else is great. Its more rent worth, than buy.
