After seeing people playing TLoZ: Echoes of Wisdom ahead of release and proudly posting it everywhere, call me surprised.

To add some context:

"Ryujinx, a Nintendo Switch emulator, has ceased development. The lead developer was pressured by Nintendo of America into shutting down the project. All downloads and the GitHub repositories have been removed."

- I had to google what a Ryujinx was

Indeed these clowns on YT boast loudly and mess everything up for us. Stupid youth.

I must have had a premonition this was going to happen because I've always been happy with using Yuzu. But I randomly decided to setup Ryujinx the other day just to see if any games I had ran better/worse. So, pretty glad I got like the 2nd to last release before this occurred.

This only leaves sudachi that I am aware of. This one seems like a fork of Yuzu since its GUI and overall operation seem to be identical to Yuzu.

Either way, this is a sad day indeed for emulation. Pour one out for your homies!

My bro has 2 switches gave me one. I showed him Astral Chain which he owns running on one of these switch emus upscaled with 60 fps patch. What an awesome game and a way to show off what good emulators can do.

Not like it would make a difference, Nintendo is notorious for suing everyone under the sun for whatever reason they can scrounge up.

The topic is misleading. They basically forced the emulator to go underground, another one will crop up again and again.

This is legal whack a mole for sure!

fixed it

If I were gdkchan I would have offered Nintendogs to put an avocado in their anus. But. Well. That's on me.

From what I read above they were considering that and while considering, github deleted everything. That does kind of limit your leverage...

Probably will appear else where

No doubt but development will be hard to continue and they have at least lost a dev that the spot light is on.

Nintendos policy around this just sucks.

For sure with a .ru or something, btw for the whole thing to be working, people are supposed to have a FIRMWARE (the only thing which is illegal to share, illegal ? I don't even now, illegal for who, that's supposed to be illegal [lol]) but this right here is just code.

I can understand emu of stuff not currently manufactured such as N64, GC, Wii, WiiU. Now what is bad is them going after music use etc

It is only a matter of time before a company that doesn't care about Nintendo in a country free of lawsuits will release a emulator for a fee. I'd be happy to pay $20 for a program like this.

Then it would be the end of the internet. Internet is for sharing...military stuff then, cats & memes, then piracy content, then forums, then stupid ads, then you want paid pirated content ?
