Post your Monster Hunter Wilds benchmark scores

Something is weird with this one. The first section of the benchmark runs nicely at 1440 UW on Ultra, nearly 60 FPS (not bad from a 6750 XT, imo), but as soon as the second scene fires up, my FPS drops to 15, and GPU power to 120 W from the default max 200. If I load another benchmark run, even the first scene runs like crap. Does any of you notice something similar?

Disclaimer: I'm using Linux, so that might be one possible reason why - I'm just wondering.

Is that using stock clocks? I found the game unstable using clocks that are stable everywhere else..

Yep. Interestingly, clocks and GPU usage are unaffected (2.6 GHz and 100%), only GPU power usage goes down to nearly half.

Are you on the newest drivers? The monster hunter side mentioned that explicitly for AMD cards

I'm on 24.12.1 (latest non-beta driver) and on my stock 7900xtx the benchmark often crashes in the final two scenes, or when displaying the results. Once it blue screened, and it took two reboots for the PC to recover :shadedshu:

On the 6600xt I can't even run it, getting constant app crashes.

Anyone experienced something similar?

It crashed on me once with a 6750 XT on Linux. Although, my kernel is on 24.3.3 it seems.

I downloaded this benchmark, but the game looks so bad, that I regret it. It seems broken and/or unfinished to me.
To me, it looks fine with no upscaling. But with FSR even on Quality, it turns into a fuzzy, pixelated mess. Probably one of the worst implementations of the tech I've seen so far.

As a comparison, Hellblade 2 and Space Marine 2 both look acceptable with FSR Performance, imo.

Game is especially CPU intensive. If you have any CPU/Memory oc’s you may have to dial them back.

I had to drop the eclk oc and bump up the CO on my 9800X3D

I have a 7800X3D at stock and RAM at 4800 MHz (also stock - even EXPO is off).

Considering you’re on linux and the game is still in beta, that’s relatively uncharted territory. You did mention your drivers were rather old too.

Yep. So there could be a million reasons to my issue - Linux, old driver in my kernel, the game/benchmark being unfinished, some weird, AMD-killing RT in the game, etc.

My 6700K is not a big fan of this shader compilation step. See you in an hour.

Just gave it a try with my 'older' system and I was not disappointed.
I did not change any settings, it is the first run with settings as installed

Had to go down to High preset do to Vram limitations on RTX 4060, else it was a stutter fest. High preset with DLSS on quality. No FG or RT enable

1440P Ultra preseet so DLSS quality and no FG or RT on. I´m deffently CPU limited here. So with a better cpu i bet i could get a higher score. Unfortunaly my monitor is native 1440P and even with nvidia DSR enable i can´t choose a higher resolution. I would have like to see my 4K score, but not posible it seems.

Thanks for the tip. I've benchmarked dozens of intensive games and had no issues so far.

Perhaps this engine doesn't like the -30 CO on my CPU, or maybe the tight memory timings are a problem. Or maybe it's the immature driver, or the app just being unstable. I see a lot of people complain about the app crashing in the Steam discussions.

I was running 104.3 eclk with 0 offset CO set to negative, no scalar increase, and it would eventually crash.

Dropped to 104 eclk, +2 postive CO, no scalar, havent had a crash since.

2200 fclk and full manual ddr5 8000 c36

With the UltraWide monitor I just switched from 21:9 to 16:9 and it worked :)
But, yeah as every M.H. game this is CPU bound Bench/Game too.

I'm not sure because it only happened once and I haven't tested it again, but when you change the resolution you have to rebuild the shaders or it will stutter/crash.

Question: Does anyone knows how to OC the memory over +3000Mhz?
