At full price, sure, but it was cheaper at launch last week. There are no bandwidth limitations, it's different hardware that delivers different features. You get more 2.5 Gbps ports, but they went with three 2x2 radios, instead of two 4x4 radios, so it all comes down to the kind of hardware you have and if you'll benefit from the 6 GHz radio in the router or not.Yeah I read about it and saw that new model also comes with a fan and had some bandwidth limitations in comparison to Flint 2. I think I'll stick to Flint 2 for now. Price wise it's almost 50% extra for features that I wouldn't really utilize.
If you're talking about slower VPN throughput, I guess we'll have to wait and see, as real world performance never tend to be the same as what these companies promise anyhow.
Agreed that the fan is a bad idea, it was something my boss wanted when I was working for a router maker, but he agreed in the end and we went with a larger heatsink and a heatpipe and afaik, it was the first router in the world with a heatpipe.
