What's your latest tech purchase?

Yeah I read about it and saw that new model also comes with a fan and had some bandwidth limitations in comparison to Flint 2. I think I'll stick to Flint 2 for now. Price wise it's almost 50% extra for features that I wouldn't really utilize.
At full price, sure, but it was cheaper at launch last week. There are no bandwidth limitations, it's different hardware that delivers different features. You get more 2.5 Gbps ports, but they went with three 2x2 radios, instead of two 4x4 radios, so it all comes down to the kind of hardware you have and if you'll benefit from the 6 GHz radio in the router or not.
If you're talking about slower VPN throughput, I guess we'll have to wait and see, as real world performance never tend to be the same as what these companies promise anyhow.
Agreed that the fan is a bad idea, it was something my boss wanted when I was working for a router maker, but he agreed in the end and we went with a larger heatsink and a heatpipe and afaik, it was the first router in the world with a heatpipe.

Audigy2 which I bought drunk for retro usage. There's just something about the sound of those Audigy/Audigy2 based soundcards I love even this day.
Make sure to use the Daniel K drivers instead of oem ones as the DK ones are much better and more configurable aswell

they look exactly like my jbl live pro 2, although priced at 1/4th

I do think Anker occasionally lie about a lot of the specs though. They'll claim something is BT5.3 but its really 4.2 or 5.0 There isnt a way to tell apart from 5.0-5.3 should be less susceptible to interference but just about everything uses the 5ghz band these days and my P20i's always get interference in certain places.

My first white fan....you know the saying: buy a white fan, buy a white case :D Already on the way: Zalman P30 AIR (white) ....with black parts inside...cause that's what I have :D

Backup phone/kids phone. Cheapest 5G phone around here: ~€100 (you can get it lower in Sweden? like €69? or so?)

I run out of thermal paste and with years passing by....I don't really care for the latest and greatest, just got MX-4 which I already know.

Well, one advantage with the one you got, is that it has native OpenWRT support, something the new model is unlikely to get, as it's based on QCA, rather than MTK hardware.

Maybe this?
That is Sas (port) to Sata (drive) but i have the Sata (port) to Sas (drive) version.

I want to know what controller is on that active adapter but the chip has no label. Why hasn't it been solved until now?
It is somehow translate the sata commands to sas and it works.

Your best bet if you don't want a PCIe controller is a USB enclosure for SAS. They are rare, but they do exist.

Yeah, I've heard that they're better and that's why I put them already on that machine. But looks like I deleted the installer from my warehouse HDD so redownloaded it. :)

Make sure you use the older set, not the most recent as the older set are more stable. Specifically, use these;

Yeah, that's what I downloaded. Need to put it permanently to my drivers folder on my warehouse HDD. :)

Update on the PNY RTX 5080 OC: 1.) It has arrived. 2.) I did a bit of a photoshoot... not a full tear down though as I am happy it has a vapor chamber visibly present (the internet told me it wouldn't, but was wrong) so I don't think the stock cooler will need any real tuning. The paste is supposedly not PTM7950 but some kind of joe generic paste, so later on I may do a full teardown and apply that.

Enjoy a basic high res unboxing photo set, including accesories (a nice little gpu sag prop, essentially) and before and after I remove the protective film! (click for full res):

Oh, and it has all ROPs. So far so good!

For something a lil different.......

For the performance that the 2563 offers up with the 5.0HO, I'm sure it can count as "tech". Youtube didn't lie, the M12 Gen2 stubby really is a mid torque that got hit with a shrink ray. The IPM on this thing's hammer is downright insane and Tesla 129lb-ft lug nuts prove zero challenge for it, despite stopping the Walmart Hyper Tough compact (which was *supposed* to handle it fine with DCF921-like perf) dead in its tracks. Mixed feelings about becoming a Milwaukee slave now, but I gotta give credit where credit's due

about $250usd equivalent for a 2563 + boot + 2 x 5.0HO batteries + charger, certainly could be a lot worse on price.

amazon :P they were pretty cheap too. around 5 dollars total.

I've been searching these skins for about an hour on Amazon and Etsy and can't find cyberpunk theme skins. Can you tell me the link for it?

Do you mind sharing your experience with the fan? What your thoughts about them?
Sure thing, but I could hardly add anything that hasn't been detailed including TPU's own review of the more basic version - P12. Here is a comparison black/white P12MAX.

The "MAX" series from Arctic is my go-to fans as I am always on a budget. It's got weight, feels well made. The 140mm version is thicker @30mm vs 25mm. I have one as well and it doesn't always fit in my older cases. The rest you can find in the link above. Apparently the white version is FDB bearing vs DBB on the black one. I haven't played around with it at all, just installed it on the AIO.

I bought M17 budget retro gaming handheld, it's 2/3 of the price of my RG35XX H I wanted for kids to play on these.

box.jpg

Its cheap, its light, kinda OK-ish and because its larger it feels more comfortable to hold too compared to poor ergonomic of 35XX H

size.jpg

Screen resolution is only dinky 420x272 compared to 640x480 on 35XX H, its widescreen for some reason but for the price I'm not complaining, the only thing I complain about is lack of any settings to adjust scaling. But my kids won't complain so its alright. I enjoyed playing on it too, its light, because its bigger its comfortable to play for a long time, 4.3in screen size is ample and isn't as fatiguing as 3.5in. Overall a good buy for kids. Compared to earlier build I see on YouTube, there is lack of any M17 on the screen and from what I see the screen is now OCA laminated I think?

im on amazon india tho.

you can try dbrand?

https://amazon.in/dp/B0CQ25BW7M here is the one i got. Good luck :) It did take me a long time to find a skin like this. tons of cultural/religious stuff on here because well india.

there are also websites who can make custom prints. Although they are pricey and can be sketchy af.

I jumped into Mr. Peabody's Way-Bac Machine and added to my collection of stuff. This is a Sony D-5 portable compact disc player in superb shape...in point of fact it is the "1st" portable CD player to be released...released 2 years after the beginning of CD mass production. These early models are made of metal for the most part , with a quality feel about them. It is working flawlessly and has a great sound to it (also still has the original "It's a Sony" sticker). My eye is on a Sony D-303 which is a few years newer with optical output to round out the Sony collection.

Time to fix those nasty stabs on the GMMK 3

Whelp, had a bad feeling when I ordered, the stabilizer housings don’t fit properly in the plate. I’d have to do a lot of filing, gonna have to figure something else out; couldn’t really find much info on compatibility other than the GMMK 3 supports both plate mount and screw in stabs.
