My PCIe5 SSD is slow. Samsung 9100 PRO

The only SSDs I'm aware of that genuinely manage over 100 MB/s in 4K Q1T1 are optane.
990 Pro very close to 100 MB\s, but Optane just another level. Here is my results for 990 Pro 1TB (with some fixes: custom thermal pads, heatsink and hardware optimizations). I think 9100 Pro should be faster for sure.

Simple. You bought a Samsung drive with "up to" speeds. Samsung does not give any guaranteed minimum speed.
As does every NVMe SSD manufacturer what's your point here

My backup is not finished in 14 seconds for 100GB with pcie 4.0.
It takes around 6.5 minutes. And not 14 seconds. The drive is 27 times slower as advertised

That is the point - fake performance values. Limitations of other factors needs to be considered also. ... Out of scope of this topic.

title ... my fancy SAMSUNG drive is slow and not performing as expected ... phrased in my words ... what i remember of this topic.

#29 are all values from the screenshot from that windows software over 7300 MB/s? yes? BTW for PCIE 5.0 these values should be over 13000MB/s or even higher. Its PCIE 5.0 and that should be of course much faster as PCIE 4.0 with something maxed out at 7500 MB/S.

When you look at enterprise SAN solutions, you'll encounter minimum performance numbers or performance guarantees

But that's for entire systems, not individual drives
