I am about to upgrade from 2 512MB Samsung DDR sticks to 2 512MB Kingston HyperX DDR sticks. I would like to use the Samsung in the secondary slots, and the Kingston in the primary slots. I have seen that mixing brands on the same channel is bad, but will it be OK to use different brands on separate channels, and will using the Samsung sticks affect my performance negatively? Oh yeah, the channels are color coded right? It's a 184 pin setup and both brands are PC 3200 @ 2.5V. Yes, I am a newbie to this...
