NYKO Technologies HDMI Cable for PS3

Hey guys.

Juts wondering if this cable will do the job for the PS3:

I have already bought it without even checking the specs! but from what I have read..it seems like it will do what I want it to do.

Will this play blu-ray movies tho?

You should be able to find one on eBay.uk for cheaper. For such a short run, you don't need anything fancy.

HDMI to HDMI is good. I like running it from my PC to my 56'' mmm idk the brand tho my dad got it for me on xmas and of coarse the packaging is destroyed lol
That does look like a good one tho pretty cheap too

Well like...Do I need anything special in order for the HDTV to play blu-ray movies??? Do I need some sort of blu-ray cable?? or is it all down to the PS3s blu-ray disk???

Don't worry it will work. If not...you get to get a new one and maybe some money. Oh and a cable to your surround sound. If your sound has an hdmi port and can accept audio via hdmi, use that. If not, use an optical cable.

Don't take this as an insult, but to you have some aversion or infirmity that prevents you from reading the Owner's manuals that come with all these expensive electronics you've got?

For somone who is in school for computer maintainence, you certainly don't seem to savvy on technology (or reading, for that matter)!

I think Sony would make sure they make using their blu-ray players as simple as possible. They are so sure of it, they paid Warner Bros. half a billion to release only on blu-ray. (turds...:shadedshu)

I use the built in speakers so I dont have any surround sound.

I hope that connecting the cable to the TV that the Blu-ray thingy will work It better work!

Once again if it doesn't work, get them to send you either a better version (if you don't have the best) or get them to do something. Oh just a note, your tv may not accept hdmi sound signals, it probably will...but just know this. Actually unless it has dedicated sound jacks on the same input, it should, if not..complain again lol.

No no, on the tv end, @ op: do you know if you tv will accept sound via hdmi, either google the tv OR look at the manual.

We need to know if you're going straight into the display or if you're going through a receiver first (like for a surround sound system).

For the record, not many folks have a HDMI capable receiver, yet!

Receiver, as in stereo receiver/amplifier. The audio device you run your CD, tape deck or record player through to power your speakers.

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing, you will be using the display's speakers. I see now reason why an HDTV build in the year 2006 would not support HDMI audio.

Whats the model/name of your tv? Just google it and try to find a spec sheet type thing. Also the manual, yes the manual, is a good place to start.
