Nice links shadow, I was considering getting a 2600XT when I was in the market for a budget card. I would recommend looking at the 8600gt but thats just because I've had good experience with it.

you would get a small boost, I dont reccomend crossfireing two low end gpu's its a waste.

+1... you might want to save up some more... around 100 you can get one that can play some of the newer games. but if your wanting to play ALL then your budget needs to be better...

Crossfire on two mid range cards is really not worth it. afaik the price-performance isn't worth it. Might as well wait till' the next paycheck and get something decent.

I have a trustworthy X850XT pci-e by Sapphire for sale for $65 shipped. It is a shader model 2 card. If it was SM 3 I would be asking more then what I am.

TBH it is a solid card. It meets the requirements for Crysis even. It plays classics like BF2 cranked. It plays Far Cry excellent, even with the patch that adds SM3. It did not let me launch MOHA though, as it is a shader model 3 only game. IDK exactly what SM3 games will run on a SM2 card, but MOHA didn't. Maybe Google has a list.
