Computer for Dad

Anyways, my dad has been out of the loop since he switched industries and well anytime I go home and have to use any one of his computer i do a big :banghead:. So i told him I would build him one so long he provided the mulla for the parts. It will be used mainly as his server (for about 3 other computers) and won't be used for gaming, the most intense application will be AutoCAD. I have put together a preliminary list of parts, some unknown and would love some additional input. :)

CPU- Intel E2160 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116036
GPU- XFX 8600 GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150229
(for 65$, i couldn't not get it, and i might want to do a little CS or something behind his back ;)
MOBO- Gigabyte P35-DS3L http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059
HDD- WD or Seagate, anything 320gb. Nothing specific so far.
Optical - Have
RAM- Corsair XMS2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034
CASE- Something that looks like a normal computer case, nothing fancy and doesn't need 100 fans.
PSU- Something thats good. :) modular, 400+ watts, won't be powering 2x8800ultras

Have monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, just need the computer itself :) Im hoping for around ~600 give or take a little. Thanks all.

Go with the seagate barracudda for the 320gb hard drive. So quiet and fast...

And I'd bump down the graphics a bit. Don't go on board though, might as well have something with a little oomph just in case.

edit: Heck, I recommend this card, really cheap deal and should handle anything he'll be doing.

Well for 65$, i don't see the point in not getting it. If and when i do come home, i can always download steam, download CS, and play it fine. I want to give him something more than on board, and well 65$ isn't really that much. Who knows what the future may bring, I dont want to gimp him right out of the starting gates :).

I've just installed one and was impressed, it made my idle temp drop from 52C to 27C. I couldn't believe it. There had to be something wrong with the stock cooler, no way it can be that bad!

edit:
I struggled a bit with the mounting though. The clips were too wide for my mobo and the plastics tips bent backwards on 2 of them.

I know corsair makes rock solid PSU's i have the 620hx, but for an 8600 or less and nothing else major, i think its overkill for such a simple system. I'm sure there has gotta be a PSU that will power this baby just fine and cost half that much.

I've been putting these in "budget" builds for clients. I've had good luck with both of them. Stable rails. I've given up on modular. They are overrated unless you have a windowed case.:
