I like the logos. The stars are too much like other forums.

If you use the same logic as the stars, then the custom titles don't mean anything either.
It is just a badge that you have tons of posts. Says nothing about the content.

I like the custom titles, but it is not "earned", it is just given for high a high level of participation. Just like the stars.

i can agree with that as well, just because you have more post doesn't necessarily mean that you know more or something, it just means you have be participating allot i guess its like a seniority thing

You are right, it is just a "seniority" thing. But there is nothing wrong with that.
It give the dedicated uses a little perk for what they have contributed.

Maybe an idea would be to put somethin in the profile that would show up after the thanks count to show what you are most interested in, or proficient at. Again, it should not be user generated, but a selection to keep it consistent.

Or not. It's ultimately up to W1z, and he has enough going on. But it is nice that we can voice comments and feedback. Some boards don't allow it.

yea i agree completely and your right theres nothing wrong with that at all.
and yea thats another great thing about tpu they actually like to hear our feedback and listen to it

Some forums use other methods as I am sure most of you know, I am not suggesting that it's the best way to go but if you take for example Extreme Systems, they have a generic title that is dependant on the amount of posts you have acheived, so it could go like this :laugh:

1000-2499 - TechGuru
2500 - 4999 - TechMaster

the stars are too generic plain and boring imo. the logo makes the experience more personalized and attractive.

I bet a moderator is modifying the poll...

it was almost tied this morning, and now it's way off.. the stars count is still the same too

within 10 hr, the margin gets that big..makes me wonder a little......
