My parents live in england, and school is about to let out. I for sure am not going to be in eng the whole summer. I just sold my current graphics card (2900xt), and was thinking to get a passive 9600gt. But then i realized I dont know where im going to live this summer, so I probably won't be using my computer until about august (keep it in storage probably.) so if i bought this card, it would keep me entertained for the 3-4 weeks of school left, until its crazy summer timez

In august is the 9600gt going to be sh*t for 150 dollars? should i save my 150 and buy a card in august? are there any future gcards to come out this summer that are going to kick ass?

i too am in a similar situation where i want to buy a 9600gt for summer BUT june 3rd is computex where ati should unveil their new hd4000 range, and apparently (according to fudzilla) up to 50% better than hd3000 range, of course nvidia will respond to this with smilar release.
SO
-wait 2/3 months for the new cards and buy one
- OR still wait for them and their release will mean 9600gt should go down in price even further and buy that instead!
