This is my first time picking out and hopefully building my own computer...so if anyone could please give me some advice on what to change it would be great thanks. Also I'm going for a cheap gaming computer for 500 or under FYI >.> so thats a challenge D: Also..the prices are the cheapest I could find :O So if anyone can find it for cheaper or know where they might have a discount it would be great

CPU: Intel pentium e2200 2.2ghz 65w (79.99)

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 (164.99 after rebate on newegg) This card has better benchmarks then 8800 for most games so thats why I chose it

Ram: Super Talent 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 SRAM (39.99)

Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar SE 160GB (43.99)

Case: Hec 6C28BBX585 Black Computer Case (59.99)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EG31M-S2 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard (56.99)

So tell me what you think please :) If you have any parts that you think I should replace in the price range I am very open to suggestion, thanks!

Case comes with a 485W

Don't use case PSUs. 9 times out of 10, they are shit.

the PSU is the one component you should NEVER skimp on. If that dies it can take out your entire PC. Spend a bit more now, so you don't have to risk spending a lot more now.

Get a cheaper case, and buy a decent PSU.

Any of these brands are good:

Tagan
Seasonic
Corsair
Coolermaster

I'd get at least a 500-600W PSU.

Be on the lookout for intel's new 5xxx chip, w/ the 45nm core and 4ghz on air capable for <$100. Not out yet, but could be soon.

COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum Bezel , SECC Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

This case is 49.99 without a power supply and it seems to be very popular.

Still not sure what PSU to get though D: I can't find any good ones in the price range

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 (164.99 after rebate on newegg) I would avoid Sapphire. There customer service is a nightmare. Gigabyte hs a good warranty and customer service as do ASUS and MSI.

Ram: Super Talent 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 SRAM (39.99)

your at a little over 500. If you go afford to go over 500.00 , you will be much happier. 2 Things to remember. Do not skimp on your Power supply choice. You get what you pay. Corsair is highly rated as is Antec Eathwatts. Also your case. You want good cooling and Airflow or it will be a nightmare. if you could afford the COOLER MASTER Centurion 590 , it is awesome for the money.

Thanks I might just get a 8600Gt video card because I really don't need a fast one and the games I want to play is fine for it. Anyway, thanks again for that helpful post.
