WOW. That is amazing I haven't played an FF in a long damn time. I guess I should have read that whole article when I looked at it earlier. Too bad the last one I player, FFTA wasn't anywhere near as awesome as the original FFT.

i never did get into kingdom hearts maybe because of all the Disney characters were trying to kill each other, seemed kinda like a stupid idea, i mean who really wants to use daffy duck to take on that fat chick from the little mermaid (i don't know the fat chicks name she had tentacles and wore black)

but now that i think about it, that sounds like an awesome idea for a game

Sadly, many others follow this same path...

2. Slow Gameplay:
Arent all RPG style games somewhat slow? It's not like FF10 was a hardcore FPS game like Unreal Tournament.

ADD, or at least comp inspired ADD is the cause for the reading hating probably. I understand the not wanting to play old games for the first time though, as they are outdated and w/o the nostalgia they don't have as much to offer someone who hasn't tried them before. However, in a few cases, FFVII and FFVIII being a couple of them, it is most definitely worth it and those games still surpass most that came after imo.

Maybe I was being naive but I also assumed that FF13 would be a 360 game as well, it made sense given the large number of consoles that the 360 has (as in it would be stupid to ignore such a large user base). I don't understand how this spells doom for the PS3 though?? Surely if you have a PS3 and you want FF then you'll get it and if you have a 360 and want FF then you'll get it? Am I missing something here. I'm sure people don't buy consoles based on one game (SSBB doesn't count, wait every console does this haha ignore me..

)

Hopefully Final Fantasy Versus XIII will also come out for 360 -it looks like it will be better than FFXIII (similar combat system to Kingdom Hearts)

I was hooked on FFX because of the story and the visual presentation. The gameplay is virtually the same as FF7. With better graphics game devs are able to take simple, boring gameplay and spice it up.

According to FF7 fanboys, we should judge games by gameplay alone. By your rules, I'd have say FFX-2 and FF12 are better than FF10 or 7 since they were way more fun to play, even though they both fail in the story department.

FF7 was the only game that made me emotional while playing it. If you've never played it, you guys are missing out on one of the greatest moment in video game history. I seriously stopped playing for 30 mins. i was in shock after it happened. Those who played FF7 know what im talking about. (Aeris + Sephiroth :toast:
