this is stuff you are purchasing?

If so , I was told not to buy the -b model 655 pump in another thread, just thought I'd forward the advice.

the only diff between the 2 is variable speed. @ highest setting (the b is set to it perm.) it is still inaudible. the older versions supposedly had some high pitch whine to it, however the newer ones do not.

i read there may be compatibility issues with Swiftech MCW30 and dual slot gpu-s, and also the mcw30 doesnt fully cover the chip set, its only about 85% of it

no clearance issues, the MCW30 covers even though it doesn't need to.

calvary1980 is right, the mcw30 provides adequate coverage and clearance. the only part that it wont cover is part of the ihs. the die underneath is covered and fully cooled.

however compared to the ek, its ugly as hell.

eventually im going to put a 4870 x2 and a 4870 together to do trifire but funds say no way.

right now, its watercooling.

would it be better to get 2 x 2 x 120 mm rads or use the heatercores?

no real way to tell without rigorous testing and a/b comparison. generally though, heater cores need higher cfm + pressure fans than the rads, but perform exceptionally well.

MCW30 would be on the southbridge right?

heater cores need to be slightly modded before use. they are pretty ghetto but work well I guess it depends on what kind of heater core you buy.

yes you could, however:
#1 that would be fugly
#2 would probably leak
#3 side walls do not have the thickness to drill & tap proper holes
