Whats cheapest most oc mb available req supports my core 2 and can oc up to 500 on the fsb?

Heard asus p5b deluxe is good but still seems bit pricy

I dont think his english is great,i think he means-i don't think you will find something like that,as in a cheap board that will do 500fsb.

you can try Asus P5KC. Last month i hit 515 mhz FSB but it was unstable cause my ram is a bottleneck in my system

i think it will do the work with some nice ram.

Some CPU with a bigger multi (like E7200) would be easier and just as cheap

That is if your motherboard is still working and supports it. You need only 370FSB with E7200 to 3.5GHz and 500 with your E6300 for the same (if you even could).

edit: oh and P965 is ~450FSB, P35 is ~500 and P45 might do better or worse, seems they are hard to overclock. (and yeah you can get more FSB with all of them with extreme cooling and voltages)

P5b-dlx is a great board. one of the best around. The only thing the guy needs to think of is if he wants crossfire or not... BloodIron is a single PCIe 16.... So, that's whats on the table...

there is almost no performance gain in a 4xslot, i believe. That board is great though, but the bloodiron is sooo sexy!

@ paulo7 You can try to find the bloodiron club here at tpu, and maybe ask there for suggestions. That board really pwns!

Yeah, the only thing he has to ask him self is if he needs crossfire or not. I sold mine in a three way deal with Sneekypeet... But, still would tell anyone to grab one. There $119 at newegg.

Cant see biostar anywhere in the uk, might go for the blood iron one as £60 in uk, other option is get e5200 when it comes out as shouldnt be as reliant on fsb (high mult) and be around 50-60 pounds hopefully, my current mb can do 333 ok but above that unstable :S

Mine's running at 500 FSB 24/7, and I've not found it's max yet. :cool:

Can't go wrong with the bloodiron though.
