there are soo many options on my mobo and its confusing to OC. currently i have gotten my cpu from 3.0 to 3.24ghz with out changing voltages. my ram is at 5-5-5-15 1200mhz which is its default speed, most things are set to auto. cpu multi is at 9 and fsb is 360. i tried 370 with no luck. Can anyone help, im lost.:banghead::(

Well, first you should check out the overclocking guide posted here at tpu. Secondly, you will need to add some more vcore now. Watch your memory speeds though. You may need to change your memory divider the higher you clock. To test for stability, download prime95 and OCCT.

ive looked at the guide on tpu and ive OCed on other comps, 3 to be exact, but this mobo is the most advance ive used well maybe not as bad as the asus x38 board i helped OC on but its just complicated.

You really should be able to reach 3.8-4.0 easily. Get your vcore up to 1.40v, increase your fsb v and NB v slightly, and set your fsb to 500x8. Should be VERY possible. If you get stable with this, lower your vcore slowly, until you get unstable. Remember to watch your memory divider/speeds!

im at 4.14ghz 1.36vcore no NB v change, only change on CPU vcore. 460x9. my problem was that i was slightly increasing ram voltages and fsb termination voltages and other things that didnt need to be change. i am on stock cooling so idk how fan i can keep going.

is it more stable to do 500x8 verses 500x9? does the multi have effect on stability?

Well, you are not going to get 500x9=4.5ghz with that chip on air. You would need to increase your vcore way too high. I'd give 500x8.5 a try though. My guess is you are going to need 1.425v to get there, and honestly with these 45nm chips, I wouldn't give it much more than that.

i just did 430x9=3.87, with vcore at 1.3125. ram clocks at 4-4-4-12 1086mhz 2.2v. Seems stable havnt run any stress tests because none of them are installing correctly, is it because of my 64 bit OS? orthos wont install but prime 95 did but i dont like it as much as orthos which i used to have on my Xp Pro 32 bit.

with CPU stock hs/f at full fan speed the temp idles at 40C and tends to drop down to 39 then after a while pop back up to 40. At 70% fan speed temp is still 40C but never drops below it.

should i leave everything besides vcore, dram, and NB on auto? should i leave the NB to FSB strap on auto? Is FSB termination voltage FSB voltage?
