How much better will this be than my old card?

The HD4850 is on par with a 3870x2... The 4870 beats it up.

no a 4870 is on par with a 3870x2 and the 3870x2 beats a 4850 read some reviews. The 4870 beats the 3870x2 but not all the time. It would be similar to a 9800gx2 and a 280 gtx.
