Barely a month before release, a guy sold two GeForce 9600GT cards for ~$700. The R700 is already touted to be the ' Jesus Card '. Good luck finding one for at least $5000 or below (now).

Well I went back to Fry's to buy the card but it wouldn't scan a the register, so the girl called her supervisor who said it shouldn't have been on the shelf yet and they could not sell it before the release date.
I asked when the release date was but he didn't know, so he made a copy of the product id label with their item#5691641 and said if I called the store they could tell me the relaese date.

I can't wait to get one, but I am not going to be like the peoplle that purchased the
9800gx2 or the other cards that come out of the gate for a few hundie more then they
should, then drop like rocks when another card comes on the scene or production goes
up...

I'll wait a few months and play with some less expensive toys....

I'm going to buy when they become available because I have the money. I don't think I'll ever be able to jump on this much power any time soon, so I'm going to take advantage of it while I can.

No I am retired from benching.....cannot see any other reason to buy one TBH, yes I have th money, thats not a problem, I just have to justify it to meself!....there are plenty of cheaper cards out there that will run all the games I play at 19xx smoothly, just bought the 260 and the 28inch monitor, thats me now till Christmas!!

you will really like that card sold my Qx9650 and now am getting a Q9450 that won't bottle neck my 280 gtx, so I understand no more benching for me aswell ( for the near future).

Yeah, TBH, it got to the point where my puter was in bits being upgraded more than I was actually using it.....and it takes so much time up also, maybe I will get renewed entusiasm in a few months.

why not a q9550 for the same price? q9550 is like 340 retail on newegg
