Last week Team Group Inc. has launched two new DDR3 modules under its Xtreem series. Like most manufacturers do, every brand has a name for its high-end products, Dominator for Corsair, Ballistix for Crucial and so on. Team Group has decided to name its high-performance DDR3 parts "Overclocking Heroic Duo". The two new Heroic Duos are the Xtreem DDR3-2000 and DDR3-1800 available both as single modules or in matched dual-channel kits. The modules feature premium 8-layer PCB design, 128x8 chips in BGA package and special black aluminum TeamXtreem heatsinks. More importantly, the Xtreem DDR3-2000 operates at 9-9-9-24 (tCL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) timings at only 1.9V. The Xtreem DDR3-1800 uses a timing parameter of 8-8-8-24, and optimal performance is also obtainable at 1.9V. In terms of capacity, besides in 4GB (2x2GB) and 2GB (2x1GB) kits, Team Group also sells single 1GB and 2GB modules. Before shipping to customers every Overclocking Heroic Duo module passes burn-in test for at least 24 hours on a wide range of overclocking platforms made by ASUS and GIGABYTE to ensure maximum compatibility. Both models are also equipped with built-in EPP (Enhance performance profiles) and XMP (Extreme memory profiles). Team Group provides users with lifetime warranty for both the Xtreem DDR3-2000 and Xtreem DDR3-1800.

D9JNM? What the hell is that?

And when are we gonna see DDR3 at the rated volts of 1.5? Im tired of seeing these at 1.9v to 2.0v

We do see kits at rated specs. All these will run at Jedec rated specs too. JEDEC specs are only 1.5V for DDR3-800 6-6-6, DDR3-1066 8-8-8, DDR3-1333 10-10-10, DDR3-1600 11-11-11.

Anything beyond those speeds and timings do not require the 1.5V Jedec spec.

It's absolutely no different than DDR2 having a Jedec spec of 1.8V. Only non-overclocked kits run at Jedec specs. How many DDR2-1200 kits do you see running at 1.8V?

"Overclocking heroic duo" omg what a crappy name. The Asians are so bad at slogans. Like Thermaltake: "cool all your life", Asus: "rock solid heart touching". The name must be lost in translation or something....

D9JNM? What the hell is that?

Are you pulling my leg?

It refers to the type of ICs standards from DDR3 memory:

D9GTR 128MBx8 1.5v 533mhz 1.875ns
D9GTS 128MBx8 1.5v 667mhz 1.500ns
D9JNL 128MBx8 1.5v 533mhz 1.875ns
D9JNM 128MBx8 1.5v 667mhz 1.500ns

I'm still searching for a D9GTS 2x2GB kit :) Up to now, only CSX Diablo 2000 is mounting D9GTS on 2x2GB kits (and not all). Hope Cellshock and Crucial will release their high-end 2x2GB kits soon :)
