I was trying for a long time to get the SLI mod for any motherboard for a while but I've given up. I want to return the second video card I was using back to my friend, but whenever I remove the second card I get a bluescreen on boot up.
The BIOS is not ACPI compliant
STOP: 0X000000A5...
So I uninstalled my second video card and now windows won't boot.
I get a Bluescreen saying the BIOS is not ACPI compliant. I've tried the 3 different bios on the asus page and it still isn't working. If i plug another video card in the second pci slot it boots...
using the repair utility from...
Ok, I'll give this a try soon.
Side note, all the bluescreens I've been having currently, I saved the Windows event viewer log of them all and all the dump files for them if anyone wants to look at them.
Here's my folder with all the BIOS I've used and the originals. Currently I'm using
Card 1 (XFX 9800GT 512mb): XFX9800GT.rom Original bios, just overclocked a bit
Card 2 (Palit 8800GT 1024mb): 9800GT.rom It's an EVGA Bios
This currently gives me blue screens when booting up...
I think HalMod is messing with how my computer works with the second 9800 GT. Sometimes it will work and I can install drivers for it, etc fine. It always works for the primary card, but not all the time for the second card.
