Seems like there's no more updates to this software? Is there an alternative?

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

If you haven't tried this already, give this a try. Follow my instructions up to step 4c, then manually sign the unsigned drivers with DSEO (http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo) then boot in test mode, now install the drivers. Hopefully it should recognize the SLI correctly...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Thanks for the info. I didn't install any service packs or any .net packs, just a clean install of Win7. But this did give me an idea, I'm going to do a clean install with both cards in and 4GB of ram, see if that'll fix it.

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

I tried swaping my own set of ram (Patriot Extreme DDRII800 4GB kit), it still would not boot into Windows with them. So I can pretty much eleminate defective ram.

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Ok, I ran into some problems. As soon as I add 2GB of ram, the comp will not be able to boot into Windows with SLI turned on. But it's perfectly fine if I disabled SLI and only ran single card. So it's either 2GB or ram or SLI, is losing 2GB of ram worth the trade off?

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Yes. I think they may have it in the guide before, but maybe it was accidentally removed during editing. Because in section A they only have 3 steps, however in section C they mentioned Repeat steps 1-4 from “section A.” So I think step 4 is probably similar to what I've done.

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

I figured out what I did wrong. The instructions on XDev is missing a few key steps for Win7 32Bit. Here's the instruction for Win7 32Bit. 1. Installed SLI String installer v.2.0 http://www.xdevs.com/sli/SLIStringInstaller%20v2.0.zip 2. Press Asus 3. Download the ORIGINAL Win7 32bit...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

In the Display -> GPU -> Nvidia SLI -> SLI Status it says "Disabled". On the XDev site they have a modified XP SLI driver, can I force that to install on Win7 32bit? Thanks.

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Ok, so I followed these instructions, but the SLI is still showing as disabled. 1. Installed SLI String installer v.2.0 http://www.xdevs.com/sli/SLIStringInstaller%20v2.0.zip 2. Press Asus 3. Download the ORIGINAL Win7 32bit drivers from...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

I'm looking to do this mod for a friend's comp (Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, dual 9800GT, Win7 32bit). I can pretty much understand the instruction except for this part "Step 5. Disable UAC, enter system to test mode, make modified driver file have certified for OS. " What do they mean make modified...

EVGA GTS250 (regular) flash with 9800GTX+ SSC bios possible?

I found the EVGA GTS250 SC bios from another site, so it's the bios for the exact same card except for higher clocks, so the chance of it damaging the card is really low. I would even guess it'll be safer running the card at overclocked speed all the time (in the long run).

EVGA GTS250 (regular) flash with 9800GTX+ SSC bios possible?

I don't want the card to run at full speed all the time though, I tried RivaTuner on another build with a 9800GT, the oc will not stick if you don't check the "apply at startup" box, but if that box is checked, the card will run at full speed all the time. I know the ideal thing to do is editing...
