New GPUs, now crashing after few seconds in game.

Noted - how are Asus cards usually? Currently looking at https://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-rog-strix-oc-11gb-gddr5x-vr-ready-graphics-card-3584-core-1569mhz-gpu-1683m

New GPUs, now crashing after few seconds in game.

Nvidia have authorised a return, which is good news! Now the question I have from reading this thread is whether to return just one, or both. I was unaware that Founders Edition cards had a reputation (high Nvidia card costs have kept me in the AMD camp for the last half a decade), and there's a...

Don't have a spare SLI bridge unfortunately, and would prefer not to spend any more money until I've ruled everything else out. With that in mind, I can't find anything wrong with the motherboard itself, all PCI-E slots seem fine and in active gaming tests across FO4 and WD2, there's no issues...

Gave the new drivers a go and no change, sadly. I'm going to try and get the whole setup out of the case either tonight or tomorrow and give the whole thing a good look over - check the CPU/socket for bent pins, make sure the GPUs are intact etc etc.

Looks like it's not solved after all :( Tried for a little Fallout 4 today, we're back to where we're started. I strongly doubt I've gotten two bad PSU's in a row, so what'd be the next thing to try? (For the guy above who asked - PSU is a Silverstone ST1000-PT - all the reviews I've found say...

Sorted! Turns out it was the PSU after all. Whether I have a bad one or 850W just isn't actually enough I'm not sure, but I grabbed a 1000W Platinum from Scan and just tested WD2 (non-active gameplay, but a good location looking out over the city) - cards are running a little hot (85C, so I need...

New GPUs, now crashing after few seconds in game.

Alrighty, looks like yesterday I had SLI disabled, which explains why the games worked. Re-enabled just now, straight back to crashing - so it's SLI that's the issue rather than an individual card. Tried reinstalling drivers with no change - it seems the next step is get an ATX tester and see if...

BIOS already on latest, and chipset drivers just updated (I'm assuming the version on the mobo CD wasn't the latest) - WD2 didn't IMMEDIATELY crash this time but I don't have time for an extended test right now, will report back on that later.

Specs updated, my bad there! No overvoltage or overclock on anything that I'm aware of - everything other than a harddrive and one of the sticks of RAM is less than a fortnight old, and I just checked the BIOS to make sure nothing was doing it there without me knowing.

Was for two, yes As noted in the OP, specs are outdated - logging in for the first time in a few years and havn't updated those yet ;) See the OP for current specs

PSU is something I'm thinking of, but EVGA's power checker actually recommended this specific one for my setup. Back on the driver front - I just had a go in Deus Ex Mankind divided on the ultra preset, 4K, 4x MSAA, and was able to get all the way through the first mission with no problems -...

New GPUs, now crashing after few seconds in game.

Just finished testing - tried each card on their own in each slot in Watch_Dogs 2, same quality settings that they were at. I only tested for one or two minutes each try for time constraints, but no crashes! After connecting them back together, it lasted a little longer in game, but it did crash...

Nothing in the Event Viewer other than the "System didn't shut down cleanly" message after the fact. GPU-Z log doesn't seem to show anything either (attached)

Hey all - this morning my 1080 Ti FEs got delivered and, as you might expect, I'm eager to get gaming with them. After installing them and setting up SLI, I started playing Watch Dogs 2 - only for the game to crash after about 30 seconds, taking my system with it and forcing a reboot. After...

A game... by me (This could go in programming, but nyeh)

Not sure if I did, but we're doing it on our own engine. Easier to get Steamworks in that way :D And yes, there will be sneaking elements in there too. EDIT: @Flyordie - The screenshots were taken with DirectX 10. We're working on getting DX9 working on there. We THINK we got it working, but...
