Garbage Samsung products apparently.. anyone old enough to remember IBM "deathstars" was bad enough to make them sell off their entire storage division
I love how everyone here is pointing the finger at everything else besides Samsung.. nothing on my system has changed, in the two months.. hell I hardly use this PC!.. take that back, started with the 2x firmware then upgraded to the 3 and now 4.. so if ANYTHING is to blame it's Samsung...
I may do a backup and secure erase on this drive to see if it really is an issue with Samsung refusing to do nand garbage collection in firmware now.. has anyone else with low writes now tried this?

no, but I want an SSD that doesn't halve the writes in 2 months! I'm willing to bet Samsung disabled or greatly reduced garbage collection to reduce the write error from early firmware. Use a band-aid to fix one problem to create another.. are...
This problem is NOT just for the 4TB drives and it even shows on an older PCIe Gen3 system! Latest 4B2QJXD7 firmware with full performance mode enabled as well. These drivers are utter garbage!! Regret my purchase now. Samsung NEVER again!! My guess is they had to do something to the write...
at this point it definitely looks like this card is FUBAR'd.. tried two different computers, and both Win 10 and Win 8.1, system freezes as soon as I attempt to load the driver. If you think there are other steps that could unbrick this card I'll start a new thread for it.. but past experience...
