    Re-wiring PWM fan

Me? I am using them for case fans. But just because your motherboard has a four pin sysfan connector it doesn't mean it supports PWM. The instructions with the AC gangable PWM fans show how to gang it to your CPU fan.

    Re-wiring PWM fan

I see nine 120mm PWM fans at NewEgg now (plus four out of stock). Artic Cooling makes gangable PWM fans. Similar wiring to OP. I like PWM fans but I REALLY detest two wire fans with only a molex connector.

Are there any other slim 120mm fans out there?

Sycthe has a sleeve bearing also.

SPDTool: Read, Edit and Flash your Memory's SPD

HellasVagabond: If you really want to get into it, get the specifications for DDR3. See my previous post #307. I heve not looked at them yet. But if they are like DDR2, you have to sort through the necessary fields on a bit by bit basis using a hex editor. I use Hex Workshop.

    6pin on my Motherboard

I have. At least I have had loose and flakey molex plugs. I tend to move my hard drives around a lot. You can take a jewelers screwdriver and stick it between the plastic and the contacts to "tighten" them up. Unplug the PSU first, of course. :twitch:

SPDTool: Read, Edit and Flash your Memory's SPD

Thanks for the report, SetsunaFZero! That is good to know, since I have now gone to DDR3 also.

It's not the chipset so much as the memory. It has never been reported to work with DDR3.

SPDTool: Read, Edit and Flash your Memory's SPD

To repeat my previous post, on Page 12: I found a few in the OCZ forums. I posted mine here, in the Memory Database forum http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=90194. Although, those threads seem to be about the timings in the SPD's, not the SPD's themselves.

SPDTool: Read, Edit and Flash your Memory's SPD

    Read the specifications: JEDEC, NVidia.

SPDTool: Read, Edit and Flash your Memory's SPD

Kokoman, that is a good question. I don't know the answer, but you might be able to tell by reading the JEDEC SPD specifications, and the NVidia EPP specifications.

SPDTool: Read, Edit and Flash your Memory's SPD

I used some SLI approved modules from OCZ as a guide, along with the EPP specifications. See my comments above about the extended EPP profiles not displaying in SPDTool.

SPDTool: Read, Edit and Flash your Memory's SPD

Bouak: I don't know why your memory modules changed from 2GB to 1GB each, or whether re-writing the SPD would fix them. You could run spdtool and see if you can read the existing SPD's to see what they say. But I would look up the numbers on the Gskill site and, see what the specs are...

[WTB][US] Copy Of Windows Ultima Vista

I have Vista Business OEM edition, complete with x86 and x64 CD's and an unused COA sticker. I got it free with a coupon that came with my XP x64 edition. The price on Newegg is $140.
