@Don Zauser
Well, its definitely going...sometimes very well, sometimes not. Still a good amount of Twilight Zone going on, I've been talking to damric in a thread just to avoid bloating this thing into oblivion - I'll write and send some summarized notes to you.
@Don Zauser
Yeah, it definitely seems that there is -something- wrong (probably physically) with the unit, its basically a 'curiosity project' at this point.
@damric
If you wouldn't mind, I think you taking a shot at the BIOS would be interesting, I've also been trying out some settings to...
Ok, so an update here on my decent into madness. At the bottom is just a copy/paste of my notes as I was going though testing different configurations. The fast version is that:
) I'm not sure the card is even reporting the correct values.
) PCIE randomly changes , or doesn't.
) card reports the...
you sure you tried to put the stock back in and the problem still occurs
-I've never touched this BIOS on the M2200, that was a dump straight from GPU-Z. Not saying it isn't messed up, just that I didn't do anything to it.
Maybe I'm wrong, I found one with low speed values
-I looked at those as...
unrol gpu performance limiters in hwinfo64.
-Performance Limit - Utilization YES (always it seems) , nothing else is flagged.
-Tried no battery , same behavior
Dumped BIOS with GPUZ
By the way, if it helps I've still got some BIOS files from a M2000 standalone card I oc'ed a while ago. And I...
More or less the tile...The card sits at its base clock and 99% usage but never changes.
I've tried 3 different driver versions (Dells latest, Nvidia DCH(?) latest, Nvidia 'normal' latest) - no difference
Tired changing power options in Nvidia Control Panel - no difference
Card isn't close to...
Had some more time working on this thing after it stopped boosting again...Seems it has something to do with the battery (either the battery being goofy or the system not 'reading' it correctly). I noticed it will do things like say 'battery 100%, consider replacing battery' - Could be...
Well, I'll re-paste (got nothing else to try), thought isn't the whole point of non-conductive paste that it won't cause shorts? Also, why would paste have anything to do with clocks if heat isn't a problem (aside from shorts)?

Hello everyone,
I've been having a hard time trying to work out some performance issues on my 4710HQ on a Toshiba Satellite S55t-B5260, here is a brief history:
Initially, the cpu would not boost past 2.8 to about 3.0 ghz when I would expect around 3.5 all core in Cinebench R15 [TS showed EDP...
