So I can wash my motherboard with tap water then dry it then put it all back together?

Hey I took the battery out and put a screw driver over the metal bits and still nothing. And I built the pc from scratch on my own following instructions and it worked flawlessly until now

yeah I tried to but it wouldn't turn on

its a 1000w 80 plus gold psu OCZ and I never actually turned it on after the leak it just had the standby power running through the mobo

If I have shorted my motherboard does that mean its broken or will it be ok once cleaned and dryed?
