Phison Readies Next-Gen E18 SSD Controller, Upward of 7.38 GB/s Sequential Transfers for Client Segment

With some competition coming on these PCIE4 drives, maybe we start seeing these coming down on price points. Would love to see more 2/4TB drives at decent perices in M.2 form factor.

Cannot install any VM products on AMD Windows 10 build

Something else wrong with the system if VirtualBox isn't installing, SVM setting in BIOS doesn't make a difference in your ability to install the software (although it will make a difference on the performance of the VMs you run on it though). What kind of error are you getting when installing...

    Bluestacks

Depending on your security settings, you should always get that warning when you log in to your google account from new phone/computer/or even a different browser on your computer (for the first time).

    Bluestacks

Bluestacks shows as a mobile phone for the android OS it runs, you can select the type it shows as from the settings. If you logged in to your google account from bluestacks you get that notification for logging in from new device. Edit. This is normal behavior when logging in to your google...

What is the oldest piece of continually running hardware you currently use with your rig?

Asus Xonar Essence STX from early January 2011. Still running strong, although could use some love from Asus on driver department to get rid random of getting up from sleep issues.

How to control fan speed? They are quite loud!

I recommend Argus Monitor (https://www.argusmonitor.com/en/index.php), it's not free but works great. Started using this when upgrading to new system and Speedfan didn't work anymore. Much easier to setup than Speedfan. I wouldn't install Asus AI Suite, it can be a real pain to uninstall...

    3200MHz RAM running at 2133MHz

Yes, meant 2933, thanks for the correction! Was making a quick post (that's why the or so after).

    3200MHz RAM running at 2133MHz

2xxx series propably won't run at 3200 mem, try dropping to 2933 (corrected from 2999, thanks @TheLostSwede) or so. With Zen2 you should have no problems at higher frequency. Edit. Also the latest bioses meant for Zen2 might not be best for older Zen+ series (2xxx).

Ryzen 3900X can't clock 1800MHz Infinity Fabric with 3600 CL14. Disappointed with Ryzen.

Might be under advanced memory settings, not familiar with Gigabyte bios though.

Ryzen 3900X can't clock 1800MHz Infinity Fabric with 3600 CL14. Disappointed with Ryzen.

Looking at the pic I'd say motherboard is setting CLDO VDDG and VDDP voltages too high, find where you can set these on your bios and set both to 1V and see if it helps. Edit. I couldn't get 1800+ IF on my X570 TUF + R5 3600 at first either, then I manually lowered these voltages and managed to...

Ryzen 3900X can't clock 1800MHz Infinity Fabric with 3600 CL14. Disappointed with Ryzen.

What kind of voltages do you get on CLDO VDDG/VDDP on settings that get you to Windows? You can see this with Ryzen Master. On Asus X570 TUF board auto setting gets these too high (on high IF frequency), which causes system instability or non bootable condition. VSOC voltage seems to always...

Are SSDs effective when using SATA II ?

I wouldn't call PNY CS900 reliable, you can get it dirt cheap though if you are not too concerned about possible drive failure.

Are SSDs effective when using SATA II ?

I have had a Asus H61 (can't remember the exact model) board running on a Samsung 840 SSD with Linux for years, and it hasn't had any problems yet. So you should be fine =)
