I found the disk but the computer froze while trying to do the repair. it froze with the blue screen that says 'setup is starting windows'. im not sure what to do next.

Yeah, There isn't anything hooked into it at this time.

Yes i did reset the cmos by removing the battery.

My wife downloaded itunes for our old ipod nano, the computer said the ipod was corrupt so she unplugged it and plugged it back in and the computer froze up. now it wont boot at all. I think i have my old windows disk, should i run windows repair feature?

thankyou, yes i should give it another go, it would help if i could get my ram running a little faster.

O yeah i do have something in my bios that overclocks it automatically. when i tryed to use it it would boot at more than 3% overclock.

Yeah i guess that could be the problem, might explain the high voltage as i might be trying to draw more power than it wants to put out. it has like 40 amps though. o well im planning my next build anyway. I will be useing a corsair 1000 watt psu with an e8600. Nice case mod:respect: No what...

I have an M2N SLI Deluxe motherboard, athlon 6400+, 550 watt Rosewill PSU, 667 corsair value select ram. 8800gt 80 gig 7200 hdd.

its weird i cant mine to boot at 215 fsb let alone 226 and when i get to run 213 im maxing out on voltage at 1.56 to make it stable.

yeah im having a little more success now i bumped it up to 1.56 but that is the highest setting my bios will allow. i wonder if i can get a better bios update. its up to 3407.95 now im running prime 95 on it now. I didnt think the cpu would need that much voltage.

im just not getting something and i cant get it work. im trying to overclock my new 6400+ x2. im trying to lower the multiplier and raise the fsb but i cant seem to get it to work. when i set my multiplier to 12x and raise my fsb i cant get it 212 when i get to 216 it will boot into windows...
