Just rebuilt a new pc, it’s been 3 years since….the old pc had 1tb for my main drive C…and the D drive was 2tbs for game/larger files etc.. both were m2 Samsung 970.

Definitely sounds like the cooler isn’t sitting flat on the CPU..check check double check.. and don’t over tighten stuff either..just saying.

Hey mate grats on the build. just my 2 cents on CPU cooling. I used the Floe Riing RGB 280 TT Premium Edition on my 3950x , i added the extra 2 140,s. https://www.thermaltake.com/floe-dx-rgb-280-tt-premium-edition.html in push/pull, it works very well.

thats the old thermaltaker case, i had that back in the day...its huge and heavy.......its a solid unit.
