MediaTek's Pentonic 2000 is World's first TV SoC with H.266 support

Yep spot on. This is just Sony marketing doing what they do, selling a TV. Their latest and greatest the A90J oled uses a MediaTek MT5895 (MT9950) soc. Panasonic’s best, the JZ2000 uses a MediaTek MT5816 soc. Even though both tout using their “own chips” in marketing material. Though the chip is...

AMD Processors Lose 15% Gaming Performance with Windows 11, L3 Cache Latency Tripled

Spot on! The patch for AMD will come out after all the reviews for Intel are out which only enthusiasts will notice. Seems like a massive marketing ploy where most reviews will be done on win 11 and world media will report on this performance. Ahh well.

Windows 11 ISO Leaks to the Web, New Start Screen, Mac-like Centered Dock, Rounded Edges

This seems like nothing more than a marketing stunt by M$ to stay relevant in the market. Just look at all trolling tech ads coming out between the big players, M$ vs Apple, intel vs Apple, everyone vs Apple, lol. All now competing for top spot. How do you stay relevant in the market? Keep...

Intel to Halve Prices of 7th and 9th Gen "Skylake-X" HEDT Processors

So intel just halved the secondary market value for anyone offloading their old HEDT chips for a new one. That just sucks if you have one of those chips, your trade value just vanished. Ouch!

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X Beats Intel Core i9-10980XE by 24% in 3DMark Physics

I don't think they stopped innovating at all, I think they twiddled their thumbs for so long without competition that now when they need to innovate, they have forgotten how too. I do think the fire has been lit now beneath some arses and things are starting to move again. The next few years...

Acer ConceptD Monitors for Creators Now Available

Sounds promising but boy do they need a new copywriter to write their press releases.

    New Information on Intel's Upcoming i9-9900KS Processor Outed - 127 W TDP

Exactly what I was thinking. A massive power consumption increase for a modest performance increase, this isn’t technological innovation, it’s going backwards. I feel that during all those uncontested years while AMD was hibernating Intel lost the ability to innovate. Pretty sure they’re awake now.

Cerebras Systems' Wafer Scale Engine is a Trillion Transistor Processor in a 12" Wafer

But would you want it to? With that much AI processing power it’d be practically unbeatable.

Intel Expands 10th Gen Intel Core Mobile Processor Family

"over 41% better productivity and multitasking on Microsoft Office 365" Considering most benchmarks for office are measured in the hundreds of milliseconds, is this really a productivity gain? I wonder what I will do with the accumulated 6.3 seconds I gain during a normal office week... haha...
