I have a similar issue to this on the exact same laptop, it's an on-and-off problem. What I found is that it's more pronounced in Unity/UE games or web multitasking on higher resolutions, and might be related to the poor IGP frame buffer size (512MB). There's no muxing done on the dedicated...
This. At a point of investment, it hurts less to do something rather than do nothing, and honestly, no one can expect a start where things work out immediately on the first try. Nvidia's terrible Riva 128 would be a good example.
Funny you mention that, me and our colleagues were doing some performance bingo based on what to expect from specs and we shot in the small card to be around GTX 1050 levels, which it seems to be, and with that in mind, we were making the guess that the top end will cap out at 6700 XT...
From what I know by watching the GN thermal analysis, it's more so a case of "the power delivery WILL die without the supplied cooling, it barely stays alive as is". The charging circuit runs at nearly Δ72°C at the full rated 44W load.
Awesome! I have two of the original V1000-s, and I've been joking a while about how it only had a plexi version. This looks like a nice upgrade along with the included hub.
This seems to be the general concensus, but: for home server builders? hell yeah, bring me all E-core clusters, don't care how slow they are (Xeon Phi style). For power users? Go full ham and make something with all P-cores just for the lulz, ridiculous cooling requirements are already a problem...
Well, the review came and it did deliver! Price is performance-relative to the KC2500, at least in Hungary...also about 10% over said competing Samsung models, but I can't complain - having more options on the market is always nice.
The A2000 had a really good review on this site, and my clients really like how good the value/performance ratio is. If this delivers on the same front, then competitors are in trouble. I'll wait for a review, though. :)
