Those of you with a Maximus VI Impact know that the board comes with a SupremeFX sound card. Physically the thing looks quite impressive but with the current Realtek drivers, the software makes no sense, can barely pull of 5.1 surround and can't drive headphones for crap...
Am I missing...
Not even. Lifting the radiator out of its cramped spot gave me 63C max, which was much better than Dual-X would have done given the same clearance. Anyway, I'm only using the H55 because the fans on the Dual-X broke.
Hah makes sense. Slightly off topic, the reason my H55's performance is so mediocre is because my ITX rig pins the radiator centimeters from the graphics card, although removing the ring around the SP120 fan did shave off 5C so thanks for that lol.
Or rather, the temperature seems to fluctuate far more dramatically.
My i5 will idle at around 50C (curse you Haswell) but will only peak off at about 70 under load. On the other hand, my R9 280X equipped with a Corsair H55 will idle at around 40C but can max at 82C at full load.
I've had...
Hey guys, I am currently using the Sennheiser PC330s after selling my PC360s, and I've not noticed any significant degradation in sound quality. But I've noticed that they hurt my head quite a bit so I want to use something else. Are there any comfortable stereo headsets within the price range...
Yeah, I dont need these anymore. Work fine but the adhesive film is removed. If you have means to adhere them and want to buy, name your price in thread or PM. Or give me a couple case fans or something. Hat's Heat
While waiting on AZZA for a reply I have ordered this with Same-Day shipping. Will let you all know how it runs with it.
Also, why does the riser work just fine for my HD 6950, but poops and/or destroys performance on my r9 280X? The two cards aren't that far apart in terms of TDP...
Update! I dismantled the entire rig and removed the PCIE Riser, and the card is now working 100%. So... Now I'm stuck with a functioning rig with no case... Any idea on how I can get it to wok with a riser again?
Thats the thing though. When the card is plugged in, the computer acts like nothing's there at all, and just boots with onboard.
Yeah, I'll hold on to the thing, maybe test it out at the office and eliminate possibillities
haha, give me a sec. MAYBE i can position the card directly on the PCIE slot for a sec.
EDIT: eh thats a no go. Still, if CyberPowerPC can rise a GTX TITAN in the same case I dont see why I can't rise a 280x
